This may be due to a flexplate crack around the crankshaft. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure steps to replace the flexplate, transmission fluid pump, and torque converter. WebNov 4, 2009 · 2) Unbolt torque converter and push back into trans as far as possible. 3) Remove flexplate bolts. There's not alot of space, I used a long box wrench and tapped with a hammer to break loose. 4) Support trans with a jack and remove the 4 bolts holding the trans cross member bracket. Leave trans mount connected.
